IT Helpdesk Technician – Woking – £20,000 – £23,000 pa + benefits

 

Our client are a well-established IT and Technology Company who have an exciting requirement for a Helpdesk Technician to be based on site at a client location in Woking, Surrey. The successful candidate will be joining a talented IT Support team team who pride themselves on excellent customer service, coupled with outstanding technical knowledge and understanding.

 

As this role is based on a client site candidates will need to have very strong customer facing skills in addition to a desire to learn new technologies. Due to location, this role would best suit individuals who can drive and own their own vehicle.

The candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • A sound understanding of IT infrastructure terminology
  • Knowledge of windows server and Workstation products.
  • Commercial experience with Active Directory and MS Exchange
  • Possess a willingness to learn and co-operate as part of a team
  • Good communication, literacy and organisational skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner is required along with friendly customer service capabilities.
  • Have confidence working in a busy often hectic environment
  • A logical approach to problem solving

Responsibilities will include:

  • Answering telephone, analysing and dealing with incidents via email and telephone.
  • Logging all incidents via an automated ticketing system.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams
